As the news of twin explosions rocking a busy locality in Jammu’s Narwal spread, Congress said they would not compromise Rahul Gandhi’s security.

“There will be no compromise about the security of Rahul ji (Rahul Gandhi). Rahul ji’s security is paramount for all of us. Whatever advice and advisory security agencies would give us, we will abide by it,” Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said while talking to reporters.

The Congress also said that the Bharat Jodo Yatra would continue despite the explosions, but with necessary security precautions in place. “We have already taken steps to compress the yatra in view of the security concerns. But we will continue the yatra as planned,” Ramesh added.
